Role Summary

Astute Business Solutions is seeking a visionary Practice Director to lead and grow our PeopleSoft and Banner Business Solutions vertical. As a key member of the leadership team, you will hold end-to-end accountability for the strategic direction, delivery excellence, and P&L of our Managed Services and Digital Transformation programs.

This role is not just about oversight; it’s about driving innovation for our public sector and enterprise clients by leveraging PeopleSoft and Banner on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). You will serve as the primary executive liaison for high-stakes accounts, ensuring our shared services model delivers peak operational reliability and modernization.

Required Experience

15+ years of progressive leadership experience in ERP consulting, with at least 5+ years in a Director or Practice Lead capacity.
Deep Subject Matter Expertise: Proven track record in PeopleSoft (HCM, FSCM, Campus Solutions) and/or Ellucian Banner environments.
Multi-Platform Oversight: Experience managing cross-functional programs including Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and JD Edwards (JDE).
Cloud Modernization: Extensive experience transitioning legacy ERP environments to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Sector Expertise: Strong background supporting Higher Education or State & Local Government (Public Sector) clients is highly preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Business, or a related field. PMP or equivalent executive leadership certification is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Growth

Define the roadmap for the PeopleSoft and Banner practice, aligning service offerings with emerging AI and Cloud trends.
Support pre-sales activities, including solution architecting, estimating, and presenting to C-suite prospects.
Own the P&L for the practice, managing margins, resource utilization, and contract renewals.

Delivery Excellence

Oversee the delivery of full-lifecycle ERP Managed Services, upgrades, and migrations.
Ensure rigorous adherence to SLAs, service-delivery metrics, and operational excellence.
Manage and mentor a global team of onshore/offshore functional and technical leads.

Executive Governance

Serve as the executive escalation point for client program sponsors.
Drive "Continuous Innovation" programs, helping clients move beyond maintenance into ERP optimization and AI integration.
Manage complex risk profiles, budgets, and high-level change control across the portfolio.

PeopleSoft Project Manager - Remote, CA

Astute Business Solutions is an Oracle Cloud and PeopleSoft consulting firm based in Dublin, CA. Astute is currently looking for a consultant for the following role.

Job Title: PeopleSoft Project Manager, PMP certified
Location: Remote (US, Canada)
Duration: FTE
Travel: Occasional client visit in the future but mostly remote work.

REQUIREMENTS

8-10 years of experience managing large, complex PeopleSoft CS/HCM/FSCM 9.2 upgrade projects preferred. Application,PUM and PeopleTools Upgrade)
Thorough understanding of PeopleSoft 9.2 technology, implementations, upgrades, customization, and configurations as well as operational management experience.
Provide project management support on PeopleSoft 9.2
Techno functional experience in FSCM/HCM/CS 9.2 is a plus
Experience with Oracle Cloud infrastructure ( OCI) is a plus.
Bachelor, or Master s degree in Computers, IT, HR, or Business with PMP certifcation
Must be a US Citizen. H1B,EAD or Green card will not be accepted.
Experience working for federal government, state or county entities is a plus.
Ideal candidate must be good with project plan, baseline, budget, change orders manage stakeholders and provide reports.
Strong problem solving ability with sound leadership and interpersonal skills.
Experience successfully implementing Shared Services is strongly desired.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/PROJECT TASKS

Full life cycle management of the FSCM, HCM & Campus Solutions Shared Services Program Management of all technology implementations and integrations
Coordination with team leads managing other technical work streams
Reporting project status and accomplishments to Management
Coordinate with the Configuration and Change Manager
Contribute to new processes and procedures, decision-making
Ability to track and manage issues related to upgrade, tracking down resolutions etc.

PeopleSoft on Oracle Cloud-Architect/Administrator (Offshore) - Offshore, Remote

Astute Business Solutions is looking for talented PeopleSoft technical and Functional consultants to work on migrating PeopleSoft applications to Oracle Cloud. During Migration, the customer may upgrade tools and applications upgrade, or manage services. The ideal candidate will have hands-on PeopleSoft installation, setup, administration, tuning, and management experience, expertise, and hardware and software virtualization experience.

Job Responsibilities
A successful candidate will have hands-on demonstrated experience with the installation, configuration, maintenance, and implementation of PeopleSoft V9.2 (PeopleTools 8.58) applications:

Install, configure, and verify PeopleSoft with Oracle 12c/18c/19c database on Linux
Install and configure third-party applications for PeopleSoft, such as WebLogic, Tuxedo, Cobol, etc.
Install and configure multiple environments required for upgrade, development, testing, and UAT
Install and configure Fluid UI, Elasticsearch
Install and configure Oracle RAC, Configure HA Clusters
Restore Oracle database from RMAN backups
Be an expert with PIA and PeopleSoft Portal technologies
Experience in application and PeopleTools/Application upgrade, preferably 9.2
Create & configure components such as file servers, web, application, process scheduler domains, and PeopleBooks
Experience in configuring Integration Broker, Single Sign-on with LDAP in PeopleTools 8.58
Provide technical administration and migration support for non-production PeopleSoft environments
Working knowledge and experience of PeopleSoft technologies such as Application Designer, People Code, Application Engine, and Security from a PS Admin perspective
Strong troubleshooting, verbal/written, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment and under an established timeline
The Ideal candidate will have extensive exposure to US/UK clients (of large scale) and DBA knowledge.
Experience with UNIX scripting is preferred.
Will collaborate on a day-to-day basis with the Astute US team to ensure tasks are completed, and deadlines met.

Preferred Qualifications

Must have analytical ability, strong judgment, problem analysis techniques, in-depth knowledge of database administration, along with a broad knowledge of diverse data administration methodologies, database technologies, tools, and alternatives
Must have good oral/written communication skills, and consulting skills
An Engineering degree in Computer Science or equivalent is required
OCI Certification is good to have
