Astute Business Solutions is a leading PeopleSoft consulting firm founded and managed by former PeopleSoft professionals with over 20+ years of experience in Oracle PeopleSoft technology. We specialize in helping organizations modernize and migrate their PeopleSoft environments to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), while maximizing the value of their existing PeopleSoft investments.

We are seeking talented PeopleSoft Technical and Functional Consultants to join our growing team and help customers migrate their PeopleSoft applications to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). As part of these engagements, customers may also undertake PeopleTools upgrades, PeopleSoft 9.2 application upgrades, managed services, performance optimization, and modernization initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with PeopleSoft installation, administration, configuration, performance tuning, upgrades, virtualization technologies, and Oracle Cloud deployments.
 
Job Requirements

  • Install, configure, and verify PeopleSoft with Oracle 12c/18c/19c database on Linux

  • Install and configure third-party applications for PeopleSoft, such as WebLogic, Tuxedo, Cobol, etc.

  • Install and configure multiple environments required for upgrade, development, testing, and UAT

  • Install and configure Fluid UI, Elasticsearch

  • Install and configure Oracle RAC, Configure HA Clusters

  • Restore Oracle database from RMAN backups

  • Be an expert with PIA and PeopleSoft Portal technologies

  • Experience in application and PeopleTools/Application upgrade, preferably 9.2 

  • Create & configure components such as file servers, web, application, process scheduler domains, and PeopleBooks

  • Experience in configuring Integration Broker, Single Sign-on with LDAP in PeopleTools 8.58

  • Provide technical administration and migration support for non-production PeopleSoft environments

  • Working knowledge and experience of PeopleSoft technologies such as Application Designer, People Code, Application Engine, and Security from a PS Admin perspective

  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) including Compute, Block Storage, Object Storage, Networking, Load Balancers, and Identity & Access Management (IAM)

  • Strong understanding of OCI architecture for PeopleSoft, including Lift‑and‑Shift, re-platforming, and hybrid deployment models

  • Experience migrating on-premise PeopleSoft environments to OCI, including database migration (RMAN, Data Pump), file system migration, and application tier migration

  • Experience with OCI Database Services such as Base DB, Exadata Cloud Service, and Autonomous Database (preferred)

  • Experience with cloud automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or OCI Resource Manager

  • Strong troubleshooting, verbal/written, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment and under an established timeline

  • The Ideal candidate will have extensive exposure to US/UK clients (of large scale) and DBA knowledge.

  • Experience with UNIX scripting is preferred. 

  • Will collaborate on a day-to-day basis with the Astute US team to ensure tasks are completed, and deadlines met.

    Preferred Qualifications 

  • Must have analytical ability, strong judgment, problem analysis techniques, in-depth knowledge of database administration, along with a broad knowledge of diverse data administration methodologies, database technologies, tools, and alternatives

  • Must have good oral/written communication skills, and consulting skills

  • An Engineering degree in Computer Science or equivalent is required

  • OCI Certification is good to have
