VMWare Senior Sales Specialist

Astute Business Solutions is an Oracle Cloud partner and PeopleSoft, Oracle EBS, and Banner consulting firm based in Dublin, CA.  Astute is currently looking for an FTE for the following role:

 

Job Title: VMware Sr Sales Specialist

Location: Remote

Duration: FTE 

Salary: $75,000 - USD 90,000 per annum plus performance bonus

 

Responsibilities

•The role involves driving demand generation, pipeline forecast, and collaborating with technical specialists to execute GSI (Global System Integrator) and partner design-in initiatives.

•Develop and execute internal sales enablement strategy.

•Develop and execute strategies to generate demand for VMware solutions, targeting specific industries and market segments.

•Identify and engage with potential customers through various channels, including events, webinars, conferences, and digital marketing campaigns.

•Collaborate with marketing teams to develop compelling messaging and content that effectively communicates the value of VMware solutions in the context of Cloud Hyperscalers

•Monitor and analyze sales pipeline metrics, including lead conversion rates, deal velocity, and win rates.

•Work closely with sales leadership to forecast revenue accurately and provide insights on market trends and customer preferences

•Identify areas of opportunity and develop strategies to accelerate pipeline growth and improve sales efficiency

•Provide technical expertise and guidance to partners and customers on integrating VMware solutions with cloud hyper scaler platforms

•Act as a trusted advisor to partners and customers, understanding their business requirements and recommending appropriate VMware solutions

•Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams

•Act as the primary point of contact for customers during the sales process, addressing their inquiries and providing solutions that meet their needs

•Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as sales engineering, marketing, and product management, to ensure alignment and successful execution of sales strategies

 

Qualifications

•Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field

•Proven experience in sales or business development roles, preferably in the technology industry, with a focus on VMware solutions and Oracle Cloud 

•Strong understanding of cloud hyper scaler platforms, such as OCI,  AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and their integration with VMware solutions

•Demonstrated success in demand generation activities, including lead generation, conversion, and revenue growth

•Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze market trends, customer data, and sales metrics to inform decision-making

•Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

•Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
