Duration: 6 months (initial assessment for hours or days and then upgrade)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced
Oracle EBS HR Consultant to support the
upgrade of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) from version 12.2.2 to 12.2.14. The consultant will be responsible for assessing the impact of the upgrade, configuring the
Oracle HRMS (Human Resources Management System) modules, performing functional testing, and ensuring a smooth transition for HR and payroll business processes. This role requires deep expertise in
Oracle Core HR, Payroll, Self-Service HR (SSHR), iRecruitment, Learning Management (OLM), and Performance Management.
Key Responsibilities:
Upgrade Planning & Impact Analysis:
- Conduct a comprehensive functional assessment of the upgrade from 12.2.2 to 12.2.14 on HRMS modules.
- Identify new features, de-supported functionalities, and necessary configuration changes.
- Collaborate with technical teams to analyze the impact on CEMLI (Configurations, Extensions, Modifications, Localizations, and Integrations).
- Develop an upgrade roadmap, including testing, deployment, and post-upgrade support.
System Configuration & Functional Support:
- Configure and validate Oracle HRMS modules post-upgrade.
- Ensure integrations between HR, Payroll, Time & Labor, and Self-Service remain functional.
- Work with HR and payroll teams to document changes and optimize system configurations.
- Support technical teams with adjustments to Fast Formulas, Payroll Elements, and Workflows.
Testing & Issue Resolution:
- Develop and execute test scripts for Core HR, Payroll, and related modules.
- Identify and troubleshoot upgrade-related issues and ensure compliance with HR and payroll policies.
- Collaborate with business users, technical teams, and database administrators to resolve defects.
User Training & Documentation:
- Train HR, payroll, and end-users on new features introduced in Oracle EBS 12.2.14.
- Update user guides, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and knowledge base documentation.
- Provide hands-on support during the go-live and post-upgrade stabilization phase.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years of experience as an Oracle EBS HR Functional Consultant, with a focus on upgrades.
- Upgrade Expertise: Prior experience upgrading Oracle HRMS from 12.2.x to a later version (preferably 12.2.14).
- Module Knowledge: Strong expertise in Core HR, Payroll, SSHR, iRecruitment, OLM, Performance Management, and Time & Labor.
- Testing & Validation: Hands-on experience in test planning, execution, and UAT coordination.
- Technical Understanding: Ability to work with Fast Formulas, Payroll Processing, Oracle SQL, and HR Workflows.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for resolving functional and upgrade-related issues.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work with HR teams and technical staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Oracle EBS R12.2 Online Patching (ADOP) and WebLogic.
- Knowledge of Oracle Cloud HCM is a plus.
- Experience with Oracle Advanced Benefits (OAB) and Compensation Workbench.
- Oracle HRMS Certification is a plus.
